The national bandura players choir “Galychanka” long deserved recognition and praise themselves as art unit in which soul beats very heart of the Ukrainian people.
The choir was found in 1959 and now it is one of the most famous Ukrainian bandura players choirs. Near its origins was famous Ukrainian patriot, our compatriot, unforgettable Volodymyr Dychak. He was the teacher, who for half a century of hard work managed to cultivate the beauty, talent and future of Ukrainian artistic. Under his leadership “Galychanka” grew and developed, in order to show in future to people of many countries, what is the Ukrainian talent, how magnitudes are Ukrainian people.
From 2005 choir is headed by talented conductor and wonderful musician Ruslana Drobot. She is the one, who made it a novelty in the choir repertoire. They work together with Myroslava Medvec’ka, who grows during many years for the Ukrainian art talented graduates. The most of choir songs are processed and arranged in a creative cooperation of leader and accompanist.
